Cooperation with: Faculty of Sciences, Department of Plant and Enviromental Sciences, Section Transport Biology

Information of the receiving faculty / school / department

Name:Faculty of Sciences, Department of Plant and Enviromental Sciences, Section Transport Biology
Description:The mission of the department of Plant and Enviromental Sciences is to stimulate fundamental research and the synergy between basic and applied research in biology and environmental science. The focus is on plants, microorganisms, animals and the environment as a basis for sustainable production of food and other biological products. Research and teaching cover natural resources, agriculture, biotechnology and synthetic biology from the molecular level to the ecosystem scale.
Research area(s):The Section for Transport Biology aims at uncovering the molecular processes that control growth and development of cells and organisms. Major research topics are transport across membranes, membrane turnover, transport from cell to cell and long-distance transport of signals and solutes. Section members teach courses on Cell Biology, Biotechnology and all aspects of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.
