Research and teaching cover natural resources, agriculture, biotechnology and synthetic biology from the molecular level to the ecosystem scale. |
| Research area(s): | The Section for Transport Biology aims at uncovering the molecular processes that control growth and development of cells and organisms. Major research topics are transport across membranes, membrane turnover, transport from cell to cell and long-distance transport of signals and solutes. Section members teach courses on Cell Biology, Biotechnology and all aspects of Plant Anatomy and Physiology. |

Information about the research stay
| Contents of the stay: | Student researchers will apply a broad range of molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics and advanced bioimaging techniques, based on homologous and heterologous expression systems and including the synthesis of specific lipid probes for characterizing membrane properties, protein-membrane interactions and lipid trafficking. |
